Using
SIP technology (session initiation protocol) with an
engin Voice Box, your
calls are directed through the Internet rather than
the plain old telephone system. The engin Voice Box
can be attached to an analog, cordless or DECT telephone,
allowing you to make and receive calls as you normally
would.
Using
engin, you can start saving money when you make calls
to other engin customers, landlines, mobiles and international
destinations.

Check
to make sure that you have the following package

Cable
Power
Adapter
You
will also need:
One
or two analogue touch tone telephones or fax
machine
Access
to a broadband connection with a spare ethernet
port
An
RJ11 analogue telephone cable to connect your
telephone to our engin Voice Box
Right
Side of Voice Box
Make
sure that your PC, MODEM and Router are switched
off.
Connect
your analogue telephone cable into the Phone
1 port on the engin Voice Box. Make sure the
other end is connected to your analogue telephone.
Left
Side of Voice Box
Insert
Ethernet Cable into LAN Port and connect to
your Broadband Modem Port or Hub
Insert
Power Adapter Cable into connection and plug
into power point which will power up your engin
Voice Box.
Warning
DO
NOT connect the telephone cable from your engin
Voice Box straight into the phone wall socket, this
will cause the unit to malfunction.
NB:
the supplied ethernet cable must only be used with
your engin Voice Box. Only use Australian approved
cables for connection to the Australian Telecommunications
Network.
Finished!
Switch
on your computer and ensure you are logged into
the Internet via your Internet Service Provider.
You
are now ready to contact engin customer service
on 1300 305 000 to configure your engin Voice Box.
